Some potions in Minecraft are very useful as they provide a number of enhancements which makes surviving as easy as a walk in the park while the other on the other hand are very dangerous when taken.
The Potion of Strength must be one of the most effective ones to brew because it gives a significant bonus to the damage. That is obviously not true, as not all players know how to brew in Minecraft perfectly.
Fortunately potions in Minecraft are not really that hard to make though getting all the ingredients will take time. To learn the best ways of preparing theses friendly beverages, read on.
What You Required
The following are the items that players need to get in order to brew Potions of Strength:
- Blaze Rods
- Glass Bottles
- Water
- Nether Warts
- Brewing Stand
Actually, in Minecraft, water can literally be found almost anywhere, as are beaches created from the abundance of sand.
Hence, you have to collect as much of this sand as possible, then smelt it at the Furnace and in the end make some Glass Bottles.
Filling the Glass Bottles with Water is necessary for brewing the awkward potions which in turn are used to brew potions of strength.
Thankfully, other types of terrains such as the desert also contain sand. When ever I arrived in any place and how I was able to traverse the overworld depends on when I get water and sand.
Next, it is better to collect some stone blocks which comprise a Brewing Stand. Stone too can be found almost anywhere; within a few minutes of searching you should be able to find at least three blocks. But this point is where things turn somewhat more difficult.
The other materials can only be found on the Nether, in fact only the Nether could produce such dark materials.
When you want to get to the Nether, you have to construct a Nether Portal or fix one that is already broken. After you build one and switch it on, you have the rest of the material at your disposal.
Blaze Rods can only be found in the Nether, and the best location to look for them is the Nether Fortress; similarly to them, Nether Warts are located in the same biome.
As you know, structures like these don’t spawn in the Nether naturally; you have to locate them yourself a little bit.
Blazes are located in Nether Fortress and therefore, you need to defeat them in order to get enough blaze rods.
Then, go outside to the Nether Fortress to get Nether Warts. These are red-colored fungi and are found in Soul Sand gardens.
The last location from which you may get Nether Warts is from a Bastion Remnant. These are huge structures produced in the Netherlands and are considered large castles.
It is required to craft blaze powder, but it is better to have some raw blaze rods, as they are perfect for fuelling furnaces. The first one is required in order to build a Brewing Stand.
To craft Blaze Powder, follow the procedure below, click on the crafting tab located at the bottom right of the screen, and place Blaze Rods in any of the boxes. It’s that simple.
Here are the instructions for the Writing Stand and Brewing Stand. For more detailed instructions about how to write crafting guides, see the general crafting template.
- Move towards your Crafting Table.
- Engage with it in order to open up the crafting menu.
- Arrange three stone blocks in the lower three positions.
- Put down a Blaze Rod in the middle slot.
- Get your Brewing Stand.
Once you are done with all these, the player will be able to brew Potions of Strength.
Making Potions of Strength
You need to be sure that all the ingredients you use are in the inventory. This will help you do away with the instance where you open chests only to pull out something that you initially forgot you left inside. Once all that is done, you can exit out of the Nether if that is where you are at or whatever it is called.
- Approach your Brewing Stand.
- Put a Blaze Rod in the first slot on the left most side of the crafting table.
- Take three water bottles and then toss them down into the three lower rows.
- Take a Nether Wart and put it into the top slot using the drag-and-drop option.
- Wait for the Nether Wart to disappear, and you get three awkward potions.
- Fill up the topmost space with a unit of Blaze Powder.
- Wait again, and you’ll get Potions of Strength.
It is also possible to leave the Potions of Strength in the Brewing Stand and place one unit of Glowstone Dust on the top square of the Brewing Stand.
This way, these beverages will be upgraded to the status of Potions of Strength II. These give an even better threat increase to the enemies, which makes them quite powerful.
Using Potions of Strength
The regular Potion of Strength will give a player a boost of three in terms of damage, and Potion of Strength II will increase the latter number to six.
The former lasts eight minutes, but the new potion is capable of lasting a maximum of a minute and a half. So, these potions are best brewed depending on the way that you want them.
This is because weaker weapons result in low damage output to mobs, and you will likely get into a fight and die!
Potions of Strength are as good as for only small annoying creatures, which tend to take several hits to die in case the creatures are hard to kill.
Not only that, but it is also the only Potio that is possible to transmute Potions of Strength into Potions Splash of Strength.
Change the Glowstone Powder to the Gunpowder block. Splash potions are used in a battle without having to take pause to drink directly from the bottle, which is a problem with regular mixtures.
The Ender Dragon and the Wither are two bosses in Minecraft that are quite time-consuming in terms of defeat.
If you want enchanted weapons and lots of potions, these fights can become nothing more than trivialities. This is where other people would experience a difficult time, yet you are able to overshadow your bosses by simply steaming them.
Increased Damage
Any fighter who is keen on having the upper hand in fights won’t shy from brewing Potions of Strength despite the process of collecting the required materials being rather easy as soon as one obtains the Nether.
It is possible to fight with higher efficiency and greatly decrease the probability of a person’s death. These potions, together with strong gear, make your damage even higher, so it is recommended to use them.
It took me some time to brew these potions as there are a lot of them, and they are prepared differently. In Minecraft, what do you find helpful as your best weapon? Please let us know in the comment section below.
