    Method 1: Disable Images

Conveying images as well as other relevant content through emails also adds size to the emails. This means they will be the last to be loaded thus causing a delay in the time it takes for Gmail to render completely on the browser. Here is how you may disable images, The following are the steps To Disable Images:

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Under the heading Advanced settings click on the Settings gear icon and then click on See all settings.

Step 3: Open the General tab > Under Images look at the options and choose Ask before displaying external images.

Step 4: And then go down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

    Method 2: Offline Gmail mode

If you are on a slow network, it will be best to use Offline mode. This will permit you Gmail access emails and other information areas without an internet connection.

However, not all features are available offline Here, if a user is to make changes offline, then it will require an internet connection to transfer the changes across devices. Follow the steps below to enable Offline mode:

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Secondly, please click the gear icon, then select ‘See all settings’.

Step 3: Go to Offline tab > Tick Enable offline mail.

Step 4: At the bottom click on Save Changes.

Method 3: Turn Off Gmail Add-ons

There are so many extensions that one can use to solve the issue of extension of functionality. They could be the marketing tools such as Hubspot or they could be the applications related to the calendar or Zoom.

However, they slow down Gmail loading time especially when the internet connection is slow, and have to be removed. To do so, the following steps have to be followed:

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Right-click on the extension shown on the right pane > ellipse menu > Click on Manage add-on.

    Step 3: Click Uninstall.

Method 4: Turn Off the Chat

Gmail also has some features that exist within the program and one of them is the chat. Though this appears as an incorporated feature useful when one is required to write and send emails and or as a receiver of emails, it might be seen as an unnecessary feature hence disabled to help in cutting down the Gmail load time. You may turn it off from settings how it is indicated below.

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Click the Settings gear icon available in the header section > See all settings.

Step 3: On the upper right corner of the screen, click Chat and Meet tab > set Chat to Off.

Method 5: Delete or reduce some of the labels

The problem is that, for instance, the result of labels does not affect loading time in any significant manner, but when we deal with numerous of them, their total presence becomes quite obvious, and if the internet connection is slow, it will be more obvious. Some of them require being deleted which you should do through the following steps.

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Then, in front of your label, there is an ellipse or three dots – click on it and select the Remove label option in the drop window.

Method 6: Using the default theme

If you apply themes from other sources for Gmail, then the new theme might consume more resources, and therefore opening may consume more bandwidth.

One must thus consider getting back to the normal Gmail theme in place of the colorful one that has been listed above.

    Step 1: Open Gmail.

Step 2: Go to the top right corner and click on the Settings gear icon; further click on the ‘See all settings’.

Step 3: Move the cursor to the Themes tab and click the Set Theme link.

Step 4: Choose the default info theme and click ‘Save’.
