    How to Check with whom your place is shared

    If you want to revise the list of people who can see your location, follow these steps:

    1. Go to settings.
    2. Go down to your Apple ID at the top.
    3. Tap “Find My. ”
    4. Below, you will find the list of users that can view your location.

    You can also use the “Find My” app:

    1. Click on the application known as “Find Me.”
    2. Tap “People.”
    3. The easy way to locate such profiles is by searching for users with “Can see your location” written under their pictures. This caption literally translates to, ‘I am telling you that I am at the same location as this person.’
    4. If you have not got the “Can see your location” caption, click the name to read more.
    5. If you don’t find the “Stop Sharing My Location” option, then the user cannot even locate you.

    How to Stop Sharing Location With Someone on an iPhone?

    You control the choice of whether to allow someone to track your location or not. If you want to stop sharing your location with a particular person, you’ll be glad to know that there are several ways to do so. Well, permit us to take you through all of the above.

    1. Find My Settings
    2. The first method requires you to access the Find My settings and remove the person
    3. Go to your settings.
    4. Press the Apple ID at the top, which takes you to the next page.
    5. Click on the option that says, “Stop Sharing My Location”.

    Find My App

    Those of you willing to change the list of people who can locate you can easily do this through the Find My app.

    1. Expand the Find My application and the menu or tabs of the application.
    2. Navigate to the tab labeled “People”.
    3. You’ll find the list of people who can see your status or location and those who can view your status or location. The people who are able to watch your location are labeled “Can see your location. ” You can select the persons you would like to be deleted from the list.
    4. Click the button labeled “Stop Sharing My Location” and then click on “Ok” once the notification appears.

    There is also an option on how to stop sharing your location with someone, which involves swiping left at the person’s name and hitting the delete option.

    This means that the person will be ticked if you haven’t allowed him/her to access your location. Then they will remain on the list, but that option labeled as ‘Can see your location’ will be deleted.

    Messages App

    You can see if you’re sharing your location with a certain person – and stop sharing – from the Messages app.

    Here’s what you need to do:

    1. Open the Messages app.
    2. When you want to expand your relationship with a particular individual, check the conversation thread with them.
    3. Tap their photo.
    4. Select “Stop Sharing My Location. ”

    Contacts App

    By going to the Contacts app, then you are able to determine whether there is sharing of location or not, and then remove it if it is needed.

    Follow the instructions below to do so:

    1. Open the Contacts app / Open the Phone app and select the “Contacts. ”
    2. This way, get to the contact whose location you want to cease sharing with and then tap it.
    3. In your case, you will be able to see the option that says “Stop Sharing My Location” if you are sharing your location with them. Tap it.
    4. Another box will come up asking you whether you really want to do that. Click on the phrase “Stop Sharing My Location” once more.

    Maps App

    If, for some reason, you still have iOS 13. If you are using iOS 1 or later, then you will have a special share ETA with your family or friends option when you are on the maps using the navigation.

    Here’s how to stop this:

    1. Before the driving directions, there will be an icon that should say ‘Share ETA.
    2. To simply stop the contact from receiving your ETA, you only need to tap on the said contact.

    After getting to the specified location, the ETA will cease to be sent for updates.

    How You Can Stop Sharing Your Location to Everyone

    However, for the use of this in the Windows Phone, you can simply turn off the feature so that no one, including your friends, can locate you.

    Find My Settings

    Follow the instructions below to stop sharing your location using your settings:

    1. Open your settings.
    2. Go to your Account, then tap on your Apple ID at the top.
    3. Tap “Find My.”
    4. Slide the toggle button beside “Share My Location. ”

    1. Open your settings.
    2. Tap “Privacy.”
    3. Tap “Location Services.”
    4. Touch “Share My Location. ”
    5. Slide the button on the right of “Share My Location.”

    Find My App

    The second way that you can use to turn off sharing location is by going to the settings of the Find My app.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Find the Find My on your iPhone, then tap it to open it.
    2. Access the “Me” tab.
    3. Flip the toggle button which is beside “Share My Location”.

    In addition, it is imperative not to forget that once you turn on the sharing location again, all contacts who have access to it will be able to see it again. To avoid this, you can delete any contact from your list using one of the above methods.
